A new integration enhances the functionality of the Ksenia lares 4.0 system, improving the way people interact…
Many people enter and leave accommodation facilities every day, making it a challenge for managers of B&Bs, farmhouses, hostels, or holiday homes to ensure both easy access and high security. Fortunately, this challenge is now easy to overcome: it is possible to manage every entry point and provide guests with the peace of mind they need to fully enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Ksenia’s solutions for your accommodation
For this reason, at Ksenia, we developed intro, a product that has quickly won the approval of industry experts, recently receiving the GIT SECURITY AWARD 2025. intro is our 100% Made-in-Italy device, designed to secure any door with an electronic lock and prevent unauthorized access to residential and commercial spaces. This makes it an ideal ally for both private homes and public accommodation facilities, where it can manage multiple access points with ease. intro is especially popular among installers for two key reasons:
– it’s extremely easy to wire and configure;
– it’s fully supervised by the lares 4.0 control unit, providing an outstanding user experience with a simple and intuitive interface for both installers and facility managers.
To allow users to access protected areas via PIN codes or security keys, intro connects seamlessly to Ksenia volo or volo-in proximity readers and/or the ergo-X keypad, offering a versatile and complete solution for any installer or accommodation owner.
intro + volo /volo-in solution
volo and volo-in are outdoor and indoor proximity readers that make it easy to manage the activation and deactivation of scenarios programmed by the installer.
To activate the desired scenario, simply bring the small personal Ksenia key, called the mini tag, close to the reader. The LED corresponding to that scenario will immediately light up, with the option to assign a different color to each command, choosing from red, green, blue, yellow, or white.
When connected to intro, volo and volo-in allow for the identification of a guest about to enter the room. If an unauthorized person attempts to use their mini-tag, an “unauthorized user” event is triggered immediately, preventing access.
intro + ergo-X solution
ergo-X is a BUS keypad that can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It is designed to withstand all weather conditions, including heavy rain.
The keypad features membrane keys that are hidden when the keypad is idle, becoming visible when you approach your hand, thanks to a built-in proximity sensor.
Additionally, it has an RFID reader that can read the Ksenia mini-tag — a small key that triggers specific actions simply by being brought close to the reader.
ergo-X is also equipped with anti-vandal protection, and the built-in tamper sensor detects any sabotage attempts. If an attempt is made, the control panel generates an event and associates it with relevant scenarios, such as sabotage and restoration, which are then sent to the user and installer.
When connected to intro, ergo-X also allows for the identification of the guest about to enter the accommodation. If an unauthorized person tries to log in with their mini-tag, an “unauthorized user” event is triggered immediately, preventing access.
lares 4.0 App: gateways section and access time
With the lares 4.0 app, an accommodation facility can easily manage gateways, allowing employees, guests, or domestic staff to access specific areas. Access can be customized with time slots and restrictions set by the accommodation manager through simple, intuitive programming. This setup enables the accommodation owner to grant temporary access to authorized users based on predefined hours and days. Up to 8 time-based access schedules can be created, each with two shift-based time slots—configurable hourly or in “All Day” mode. These settings can repeat weekly or be customized for specific days, depending on the user. If someone attempts to access outside the programmed times or days, the system denies entry and generates an “unauthorized user” event.
Constant tracking
The control center tracks all events, sending a push notification to the facility manager through the lares 4.0 app in case of anomalies. All access and entry attempts are recorded in the Event Log function within the app. Choosing Ksenia means benefiting from top-of-the-line gate management features, along with a professional, reliable security system that combines distinctive design and adaptability to any space.
